Shape the future of sustainable procurement with a global biotech innovator.

This is your chance to join a forward-thinking biotechnology business that’s redefining modern agriculture through natural, sustainable science. By developing beneficial insects that protect crops without chemicals, the company helps farmers around the world grow responsibly — improving yields while protecting the planet.

Following recent private-equity investment, the organisation is scaling rapidly and investing in smarter, more connected global operations. To support this evolution, they’re seeking a Global Procurement Specialist to strengthen procurement capability and deliver real, measurable impact across their international network.

The Role

As Global Procurement Specialist, you’ll partner closely with the Group Procurement Manager to lead sourcing projects that enhance efficiency, drive innovation, and support sustainable growth.

Your work will help unify procurement across regions — ensuring smarter spending, stronger supplier partnerships, and better strategic alignment.

You will:

  • Lead sourcing and tender activity across diverse categories and geographies.
  • Consolidate purchasing activity to drive economies of scale and commercial value.
  • Build supplier relationships that support innovation and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement category strategies to optimise cost, quality, and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, supply chain, and operations to solve challenges.
  • Analyse spend data to identify savings opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Contribute to the rollout of new procurement tools, systems, and best practices.

This is a hands-on, global role offering both autonomy and visibility — perfect for a motivated procurement professional ready to take on broader responsibility in a growing business.

About You

You’re commercially sharp, proactive, and eager to make a tangible difference.

You bring structure and insight to procurement, but also curiosity and energy to help the business move forward.

You’ll bring:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in procurement (direct and/or indirect).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong commercial judgment and problem-solving mindset.
  • Confidence working across international teams and time zones.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • (Bonus) Spanish or French skills.
What’s on Offer
  • The opportunity to be part of a mission-led biotech company driving global sustainability.
  • A fast-paced, investment-backed environment with exciting growth potential.
  • Supportive, inclusive culture where innovation is encouraged.
  • Hybrid flexibility — typically one day a week on-site in Essex.
  • Competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000 DOE) plus comprehensive benefits.
  • Genuine progression and international exposure.

If you’re looking for a role where your procurement expertise can make a lasting impact — not just on the bottom line, but on the planet — we’d love to hear from you.
