A progressive procurement company in Cheltenham is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 12-month maternity cover role. You will manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing to supplier negotiation, ensuring efficiency and product quality. Successful candidates will have experience in procurement, excel in negotiation and data management, and ideally hold a CIPS qualification. Are you ready to be the driving force behind smarter sourcing? As a Procurement Specialist it is your mission to source innovative products and services that delight our clients, negotiate the best deals, and keep our supply chain running like clockwork. From start to finish, you’ll own the procurement process—making sure every detail counts and every deadline is met.

In this 12- month maternity cover role, you’ll own the end-to-end sourcing and administration process, ensuring our clients get the best products and services at competitive prices. From managing tenders and negotiating supplier terms to maintaining accurate product data and driving supply chain efficiency—you’ll be at the heart of it all.

Your responsibilities as a Procurement Specialist will be:
  • Source and price products and large tenders within tight deadlines.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and monitor performance against KPIs.
  • Negotiate favourable terms to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate catalogues and smooth order processing.
  • Resolve invoice queries and manage returns effectively.
About you
  • Proven procurement experience (Office Supplies industry preferred).
  • Exceptional negotiation and pricing analysis skills.
  • ERP system know-how and strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure with enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach
  • CIPS qualification (desirable, not essential).
