Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Solicitor (1-4 PQE) to join a Tier 1 procurement team in Glasgow. You will advise public bodies, utilities and private sector clients on complex procurement processes and contract strategy, contributing to high-profile national projects.

You will draft and review procurement documents, support bidders, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across construction, real estate, IT and outsourcing, with strong mentorship and clear career

Qualifications

• Solicitor with 1-5 PQE in procurement.
• Experience or strong interest in public or utilities procurement law.
• Background in commercial, regulatory or projects work.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Proactive, commercially aware with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing procurement documentation.
• Advising bidders on strategy and positioning.
• Supporting clients through live procurement exercises.
• Collaborating with a disputes team on procurement challenges.
• Contributing to strategic risk assessment and resolution.
