Job summary

Maintel is seeking an experienced Procurement & Purchasing Manager to strengthen our supplier partnerships and optimise purchasing across the business. This role requires commercial focus, deep knowledge of the telecommunications and technology sector, and the ability to hit the ground running.

You will lead and develop the procurement and supplier management team, build strong relationships with key technology vendors and distributors, and negotiate terms to protect margins while driving cost

I’m currently looking for an experienced Procurement & Purchasing Manager to join us at Maintel!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who knows the telecommunications and technology sector, understands the supplier landscape and has the relationships to hit the ground running.

I’ll play a key role in strengthening our supplier partnerships, negotiating competitive commercial terms, protecting margins and identifying opportunities to improve how we purchase and procure across the business.

What will you be doing?

• Leading and developing our procurement and supplier management team.
• Managing and strengthening relationships with key technology vendors, distributors and suppliers.
• Negotiating pricing, contracts and commercial terms to drive cost savings and maximise profitability.
• Identifying opportunities to diversify our supplier base and improve purchasing processes.
• Driving procurement efficiencies, supplier performance and continuous improvement.

• Proven procurement and purchasing experience within the telecommunications sector.

Please note:

Previous telecoms sector experience and established vendor/distributor relationships are essential for this role. We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the industry and its supply chain.
