About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our procurement team, supporting the delivery of efficient, transparent, and socially responsible procurement services that reflect Camden's values. In this role, you will lead, shape and steer the delivery of individual complex procurement projects at all levels within the category area, including above and below procurement thresholds.

The role will report to the Category Manager responsible for commercial strategy within the Investment, Place and Opportunity directorate specifically in the areas of spend involving capital investment projects and related consultancy services across green spaces, public realm and transport strategy, and spend across culture, environmental services, grounds maintenance, sustainability, community safety, inclusive economy and employment support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take projects from initiation through to contract implementation and lifecycle, maximizing savings and efficiencies from goods and services while ensuring appropriate levels of quality.
  • Act as an expert advisor, challenging where appropriate to ensure all procurement processes stand up to scrutiny and are fair.
  • Drive through and embed social value outcomes in every procurement you support.
  • Work closely with service leads across the Council providing a professional, value‑adding procurement service.
