£32.18 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

12 Month Contract initially.

This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Glascoed. Hybrid working (2-3 days per week on site)

Knowledge
  • Ideally working towards MCIPS or with relevant training and experience of working in a Procurement Delivery environment.
  • Experience of working to SAP processes, recognising the impact should these processes not be followed.
  • Experience of effective Supplier Relationship Management tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Procurement and contract management experience, preferably in a Defence or manufacturing business.
Skills
  • Ability to lead a Multi Functional team in relation to Supply Chain activity, as necessary.
  • Ability to assess and act upon supplier issues independently, understanding when to raise issues further, and when early 'local' resolution is possible.
  • Recognising market trends to ensure continued supply of product from supply base, and reporting these to supervisors.
  • Ability to work in a challenging and pressured environment, and able to demonstrate commercial awareness.
  • Ability to undertake root cause analysis investigation.
  • The individual must demonstrate dedication, commitment and discipline to ensure successful delivery of key objectives.
  • Proficient skills to engage and influence internal stakeholders.
  • To communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, exercising appropriate levels of courtesy, diplomacy and tact, in line with the businesses code of conduct.
  • Able to discuss details involving category area including technical information where appropriate.
  • Able to negotiate tactically both with suppliers and internally at an operational level.
