Job Title: Procurement Professional

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Support and coordinate all the Supply Chain (Direct and Indirect) activities for the SSNA P&P Team
  • Direct Procurement & contract management activity for major subcontract & transactional procurement, including all commercial and cost matters
  • Liaise and Drive Indirect Procurement & contract management activity
  • Communication of your areas' Supply Chain activities when informing cross-functional and external stakeholders of performance, threats & failures.
  • Managing supplier relationships, promoting our strategic and collaborative behaviours

Your skills and experiences:

  • Supply Chain, Procurement, or Commercial experience
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills
  • Experience working within aerospace, defence, and/or MOD packages
  • Experience working within an Integrated Work / Delivery team

The SSNA P&P team:

The SSNA P&P team is responsible for the reduction of SSNA FCAC Risk and Uncertainty, and for leveraging opportunities through new technology insertion into SSNA. The team you would be joining is currently comprised of Project Management & Engineering. There will be reach-back opportunities and support in place from other Supply Chain managers on SSNA. The P&P team is delivering multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment across many systems and suppliers.We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
