Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Procurement Officer / Specialist (NEC) to support delivery across major, regulated programmes including airports, rail, nuclear and healthcare estates in the West London area with a hybrid/onsite pattern.

The role requires NEC3/NEC4 contract experience and a minimum of 3 years in procurement within complex projects. UK-wide candidates may be considered if the commute is workable.

Qualifications

• NEC contract experience (NEC3/NEC4) is required.
• 3+ years experience in procurement within complex project/programme environments.
• Experience in regulated or high-compliance sectors (airports, rail, nuclear, healthcare estates, secure government estates).

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement activity across works/services packages.
• Assist with tendering activity: RFQs/ITTs, bid comparisons, supplier queries and recommendations.
• Support stakeholder engagement to clarify requirements, scopes and timelines.
• Ensure procurement activity aligns with NEC-based contract/governance.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and contribute to supplier performance and package delivery.
• Maintain procurement documentation and support reporting.

Procurement Officer / Procurement Specialist (NEC) - £45-50k

Type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 DOE + benefits (TBC)
Location: West London area preferred (hybrid/onsite pattern TBC) - wider UK candidates considered if commute/travel works.

Overview:

A growing team is hiring a Procurement professional to support delivery across major, regulated programmes (e.g., airports, rail, nuclear and healthcare estates). This is a hands-on role supporting procurement activity across multiple packages, where NEC contract experience (NEC3/NEC4) is a key requirement.

Key responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end procurement activity across works / services packages (scope dependent)
• Assist with tendering activity: RFQs/ITTs, bid comparisons, supplier queries and recommendations
• Support stakeholder engagement to clarify requirements, scopes and timelines
• Work with delivery/commercial teams to ensure procurement activity aligns with NEC-based contract/commercial governance
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and contribute to supplier performance / package delivery support
• Maintain procurement documentation and support reporting where required

Essential requirements:

• NEC contract experience (NEC3 and/or NEC4) - required
• 3+ years experience in a procurement role within complex project/programme environments
• Experience working in regulated or high-compliance sectors such as:
• Airports (strong pipeline of work around Heathrow)
• Rail
• Nuclear
• Healthcare estates (hospitals)
• Secure / complex government estate environments (e.g., parliamentary-type)

Desirable (nice-to-have):

• Supply chain / package procurement exposure (subcontractors, framework suppliers, delivery packages)
• Experience supporting multiple packages/workstreams concurrently
