A local government organization in Aberlemno is seeking a skilled candidate for a procurement role within the Education Project Team. The successful applicant will lead tendering activities and maintain oversight of procurement spend. Required qualifications include an HNC in a relevant subject and strong communication skills. This vacancy is internal and open to applications from employees of North Lanarkshire Council and Associated Employers.
Based within the Education Project Team, you will report to the Education Project Co-ordinator.
With an HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject you need to be an excellent communicator and have the ability to cope with multiple demands in a fast-paced environment and keep calm under pressure.
To support this role, you will require :
Knowledge of the Council’s Contract Standing Orders and Financial regulations would be advantageous.
With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and produce reports.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Education and Families, who currently operate an agile model of home-working and office-based work. You may be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.
