A local authority in England is looking for a motivated Procurement Officer to join their Corporate Procurement Team. This role offers the chance to work independently while contributing to vital procurement projects aimed at improving the local district. Over the coming years the Service will play a key role in enabling the delivery of the Council's ambitious budget, capital expenditure plans whilst supporting procurement transformation across the council. The Council's Corporate Procurement team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who wants to develop their career as a procurement professional. As a Procurement Officer in the Service, you will be developed in the role with a clearly outlined career path. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to study towards a Level 4 procurement qualification.
The Council is looking for a candidate who is hardworking and an enthusiastic team player who will have worked in an office environment previously. Ideally you will already have some procurement or purchasing experience. Due to the needs of the Service, you will need to feel comfortable working independently and be able to use your own initiative when required.
