This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the procurement landscape while ensuring the efficient management of contracts for Surrey and Sussex Police Forces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aggregate expenditure and monitor all service/business contracts managed by the Joint Procurement Service (JPS).
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of key data to measure performance against contractual outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with department leads to identify contracting needs and align strategies with business objectives.
  • Implement national and regional contracting initiatives while representing the Forces at various levels.
  • Minimise commercial risks by ensuring robust contracts are in place.
Your Role Includes:
  • Completing tender processes in line with local and UK Procurement legislation.
  • Creating management information records to facilitate continuous improvement and highlight future procurement opportunities.
  • Developing contract documentation for high-value goods and services in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Leading project groups through tenders, ensuring strong specifications and evaluation processes are established.
  • Preparing financial analyses and forecasts of current and future contract expenditures.
What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • At least 1 year of experience managing tender processes in a public sector or similar environment.
  • Full Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualifications or a commitment to achieve MCIPS status.
  • Strong analytical skills for creating spend baselines and benefit tracking.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and persuasion skills to facilitate collaboration across various levels.
  • A solid understanding of market dynamics and negotiation principles.
