A prominent health organization in Clydebank is seeking a full-time Procurement Officer to join their commercial procurement team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tendering and contracting projects and will have the opportunity for hybrid working. The role requires MCIPS qualification or relevant procurement experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Applications should be submitted early due to expected high interest.

Overview

Applications are sought from suitably qualified and/or experienced individuals to join the commercial procurement team at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital on a full-time permanent basis, 5 days Monday to Friday. A hybrid working arrangement will be considered. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of the Board’s Procurement Work Plan and offers the opportunity to be engaged in a wide range of tendering and contracting projects.

Responsibilities

There is a requirement to demonstrate resilience including managing expectations from the wide range of departments:

  • Golden Jubilee National Hospital
  • NHS Scotland Academy
  • National Centre for Sustainability
  • Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel
  • Golden Jubilee Research Institute

This is an exciting and varied role with a diverse portfolio to meet the requirements of this unique Health Board, offering the successful applicant opportunity for exposure to unique procurement opportunities.

Qualifications

Applicants should be MCIPS qualified or working/willing to work towards this qualification or be able to demonstrate experience of tendering and contracting experience. Previous procurement experience within a Health Care environment is preferable; however, applications that evidence procurement/tendering/contracting experience in other sectors will be considered.
