Job summary

Conrad Consulting is recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager to support a major defence programme in London. You will drive pre-contract procurement, engage suppliers and manage tender processes to deliver contract awards, working closely with commercial, project and procurement teams.

Defence sector experience is advantageous. This London-based role may involve occasional travel to Reading and requires BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or Senior Procurement position.
• Strong experience in pre-contract procurement.
• Experience managing supplier engagement and tender processes.
• Good understanding of contract preparation and procurement documentation.
• Defence sector experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• BPSS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-contract procurement activities across a major defence programme.
• Engage with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Develop and manage tender lists and procurement strategies.
• Prepare tender documentation and contract packages.
• Coordinate tender processes and manage supplier responses.
• Evaluate tender submissions and support commercial assessments.
• Assist with contract preparation and negotiations.
• Work collaboratively with commercial, project and procurement colleagues.
• Ensure procurement activities are completed in line with programme requirements.
