The role is offered as full‑time position.
The role is predominantly home‑based, but will require some travel to visit clients within the region as required.
Working at a managerial level you will be responsible for delivering a proactive and comprehensive on‑demand tendering and consultancy service to Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) and its subsidiary company Crescent Servicing Limited (CSL) members and customers.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement/On‑Demand you will manage the On‑Demand team allocated to you and together deliver high‑quality procurement exercises, including conducting exercises personally where appropriate.
You will set priorities, provide leadership and give support on the process for procuring contracts for a variety of categories, projects, and services for customers. You will support the development and delivery of the company’s strategic procurement programme.
You will be responsible for ensuring tenders conducted by the On‑Demand team are compliant with statutory regulations (including PCL2015 and the Procurement Act 2023), governance frameworks and CPC standards.
We are looking for someone who has extensive procurement experience within the public sector or the education sector and strong knowledge of public sector Procurement Act 2023. We also require someone who is confident with managing a team and is qualified to ILM level 3 or willing to work towards this.
