Senior Procurement Manager

Your Team The UK&I Procurement Team is a key function within the UK&I Division and wider Flutter Group Procurement structure. This team takes the lead in all supplier sourcing and negotiation activities, ensuring Sky Betting & Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair UK are at the forefront in terms of securing the very best commercial terms from the highest calibre of suppliers/partners for their business stakeholders. Reporting to the UK&I Director of Procurement, the successful candidate will be a key member of this Procurement team. Your main aim will be to lead strategic category management activities across the UK&I spend portfolio, including defining sourcing strategies, handling all 3rd party supplier spend, and providing corporate governance.

What you’ll do
  • Responsible for prioritisation and delivery of commercial and contractual negotiations against agreed savings targets within your assigned spend categories.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts through process improvements, contractual efficiencies, and the elimination of inefficient spending.
  • Lead detailed spend analysis and market intelligence activities to support annual budgeting cycles across business units.
  • Take ownership of the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategy development to contract execution.
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal partners and act as a functional bridge between external vendors and internal customers.
  • Ability to create and implement a strategic plan for category management and supplier development.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of supplier projects in accordance with agreed roadmaps to meet the business needs.
  • Responsible for mitigating and highlighting contractual risk and supply resilience issues to Executive‑level partners for consideration and change.
  • Continually challenge operational requirements and supplier spend, identifying and critiquing cost throughout the supply base.
  • Ensure, where appropriate, that regular supplier risk and performance review meetings with contractors/suppliers are held at prescribed intervals including other stakeholder groups where vital.
  • Production of management information that takes into account achievements and challenges encountered/overcome.
  • Self‑starter who can lead multiple projects simultaneously and aim to completion effectively.
  • Proven and demonstrable Vendor Management and/or Procurement capabilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven positive, proactive, and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills are key to this role.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction but engage effectively with a wider team.
  • Ability to engage at all levels of an organisation.
  • Full understanding of and ability to complete RFI/RFP and all tender processes.
