Russell Taylor Group are working with a growing manufacturing organisation and are seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to join their team.

The Procurement Manager will lead the procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely supply of goods and services, and strong relationships with suppliers. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and a commitment to ethical sourcing practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Optimise total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, fostering strong, ethical partnerships.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide solutions.
  • Maintain commercial confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Prepare procurement reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Competent with ERP systems and Excel.
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
