What you'll do:
  • Ensure effective procurement and coordination of procurement activities for assigned commodities, components, work packages, or services.
  • Manage end‑to‑end supply chain relationships with specified IP and non‑IP vendors to achieve optimal quality, cost, delivery, and supplier reliability for the Business Unit.
  • Support sourcing and selection processes for allocated work packages in line with company policy.
  • Lead supplier relationship management tasks for the allocated supply base, such as business reviews, tactical improvement initiatives, and supplier development.
  • Collaborate with buyers to ensure all purchase orders are issued according to demand.
  • Execute all exceptions in line with requirements.
  • Review requirements to ensure component deliveries are scheduled according to production needs.
  • Manage communication of engineering changes, IP supplier changes, and schedule changes.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure supplier contracts and business agreements are established and effective.
  • Monitor delivery status of scheduled receipts to ensure on‑time delivery as needed.
  • Apply best practices to build and manage effective supplier management processes and strong supplier relationships and partnerships.
  • Create and maintain market and supplier profiles for all nominated suppliers within the commodity.
  • Continually monitor, evaluate, and report on supplier performance.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day procurement activities, including internal and vendor communications, scheduling, delivery, and commercial terms (including any price variations).
  • Implement responsible supply chain management practices as per company policy, including maintaining risk registers, heat maps, and any required corrective actions.
  • Act as an effective escalation point, owning problems through to resolution for supplier delivery or commercial issues.
