Role Overview-
The Procurement Manager will play a lead role in developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure security of supply, cost competitiveness, quality, sustainability, and long‑term supplier partnerships. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Quality and Sales to support the company's business objectives and growth plans. Key duties include-
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and continuously improve supplier performance through structured supplier relationship management.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract management and commercial discussions to achieve optimum total cost of ownership.
- Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, engineering services and indirect spend categories.
- Ensure continuity of supply by proactively managing supplier risks and market developments.
- Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing and supply chain developments.
- Support inventory optimisation activities in collaboration with Planning and Operations teams.
- Ensure suppliers comply with applicable regulatory, quality, environmental and ethical standards.
- Drive supplier engagement regarding sustainability requirements, packaging regulations and customer compliance expectations.
- Monitor procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, delivery reliability and inventory impact.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.
- Support implementation and optimisation of ERP and planning systems.
- Act as the primary procurement contact for strategic sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, R&D and Operations on supplier qualification and development activities.
