Job summary

A leading construction firm based in Birmingham is seeking a Procurement Manager for their Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will implement procurement strategies, manage tenders for best value solutions, and have experience in supply chain management in a construction context. This role requires working knowledge of Main Contract T&Cs, including NEC, as well as product knowledge of materials and subcontracts. Flexibility is offered regarding working arrangements.

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Birmingham.

What you'll do:
  • Implementation of project procurement strategy.
  • Management of full tender process to achieve best value procurement solution.
  • Undertaking procurement activity in accordance with both “Skanska operational procurement – The way of working” and our contractual requirements.
  • Management of project stakeholders to maintain and seek to improve upon procurement and construction programmes.
  • To support the implementation of ERP on the scheme.
  • Utilisation of digital procurement tools.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Experience of procurement and supply chain management
  • Product knowledge of materials and plant and subcontracts
  • Construction / Site based experience
  • Working knowledge of Main Contract T& Cs including NEC
