Job summary

Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) invites applications for a Procurement Manager based at Trust Head Office, Wakefield, with travel to academies as required. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary in the Grade 10/11 band (£37,280–£44,075).

You will support the Head of Procurement on daily procurement activity across our 41 schools, managing tenders and supplier performance to maximise value for money.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of public sector contracts and understanding of procurement Act 2023 and FT S thresholds.
• Experience with drafting specifications and evaluating tenders.
• Analytical skills to identify value for money and collaborative buying.
• Strong communication across stakeholders with attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet commitments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Procurement in day-to-day procurement across OGAT schools.
• Lead mid-level tenders and oversee supplier performance on non-staffing spend.
• Ensure value for money and compliance with public procurement rules.
• Work within a small, high-visibility team to drive projects.
• Travel to academies within the Outwood Grange family as required.
