Location: Kingsteignton, Devon TQ123GP

Salary: £TBC

Job Type: Permanent

Schedule: Day Shift - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (+ additional hours as needed)

The Role

The Procurement Director position is to oversee all purchasing related duties for the company, ensuring the smooth running of the buying department, purchasing team as well as our technical department whilst achieving departmental goals and reaching KPI's.

Ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality food and non-food products at competitive prices. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, monitors inventory levels, and collaborates closely with the sales, warehouse, and operations teams to meet customer demand and optimize profitability as well as looking into new products or supplier relationships that will benefit the business.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is someone who is well organized with experience in purchasing and procurement with a passion for building relationships with colleagues and customers alongside a strong work ethic. Experience in leading a team would be preferred.

Qualifications Needed

Previous experience in procurement strategies, buying, relationship building, cost control, inventory management and working towards department KPI goals would be advantageous.
