Procurement Category Lead | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract London – Hybrid (1–2 days per week in the office) | Competitive Salary + Benefits
About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Procurement Category Lead to join Moonpig in London on a short-term contract for 6 months, with 1–2 days per week in the office.

You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering our procurement strategy, working closely with teams across the business to understand their operational and commercial priorities.

This is a highly collaborative role where stakeholder management, change management and the ability to influence at all levels will be critical to success. You’ll build trusted relationships across Moonpig and lead procurement initiatives that deliver measurable value while supporting our wider objectives.

You’ll take ownership of key categories and contracts across operations, marketing and other strategic business areas. • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Operations, Warehouse, Marketing, Finance, Technology and other functions, acting as a strategic procurement partner.
  • Lead complex RFPs, tenders and sourcing projects, from requirements gathering and market engagement through to evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
  • Manage and negotiate key warehouse, logistics, operational and marketing contracts (new supplier contracts and renewals), ensuring the right balance of cost, quality, service, innovation and risk.
  • Drive change management across procurement initiatives, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, aligned and supported throughout implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, consolidate spend, reduce costs, challenge existing ways of working and increase value across your categories.
  • Ensure procurement activity is delivered with appropriate consideration of governance, risk, compliance and business continuity.
About You
  • Strong strategic/category procurement experience (ideally 5 years +)
  • Proven success in supplier negotiation and commercial management skills.
  • Significant Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) experience, including strategic suppliers, performance management, governance, compliance, escalations and continuous improvement.
  • Experience negotiating warehouse, operations/logistics and marketing contracts.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing, including senior stakeholders.
  • Strong contract lifecycle management experience.
  • Resilient, adaptable, proactive and self-driven.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, problem-solving and communication skills.
Interview Process
  • Stage 1: Recruiter screening call
  • Stage 2: Hiring Manager interview
  • Stage 3: Interview with the wider stakeholders
