This is an exceptional opportunity to accelerate your career in a high‑growth environment, influence national‑scale programmes, and lead multidisciplinary teams delivering strategic procurement and commercial excellence. You will work with blue‑chip organisations, government departments, utilities, defence clients, and major private‑sector investors – helping them transform outcomes, enhance value and deliver long‑term impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead major procurement programmes across public and private sectors.
  • Develop innovative, compliant procurement strategies that drive value.
  • Shape sourcing approaches, tender documentation, commercial models and evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide expert guidance on NEC, JCT and other major contract forms.
  • Ensure procurement activity is aligned with regulations including PCR 2015.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships.
  • Oversee delivery of commissions, ensuring excellence across outputs and deliverables.
  • Support clients through complex commercial, contractual and procurement challenges.
  • Provide clear intelligence, insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a specialist team of consultants and procurement professionals.
  • Create a high‑performance culture with strong accountability and delivery standards.
  • Support career development, training, coaching and performance management.
  • Develop new service lines across transformation, sustainability and digital procurement.
  • Create thought leadership, market intelligence and best‑practice framework.

You will have:

  • Strong background in regulated procurement, including PCR 2015.
  • Leadership of procurement on major infrastructure, real estate, utilities, defence or public‑sector programmes.
  • Expertise drafting tender strategies, commercial documents and evaluation models.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering commissions at senior level.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Strong track record working with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and strategic thinking capability.
  • Ideally experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (rail, highways) or Energy.
  • Business development experience, including bid writing and work winning.
  • Cross‑sector exposure spanning public and private environments.
  • Experience creating supply chain intelligence, SRM frameworks or commercial modelling.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead national and international projects with significant scope for progression within a growing division. The team is collaborative, inclusive and offers a hybrid working environment to support work–life balance.
