Job summary

Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust are seeking an Assistant Procurement Specialist to join our single corporate service. Based at Portsmouth or IoW, you will support procurement exercises across multiple categories in a busy NHS environment.

You will develop your procurement career, work with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to cost-effective patient care while benefiting from NHS employment terms and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Good general education including Mathematics and English to NVQ 4 or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards CIPS or equivalent.
• Experience in procurement or public sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing tender documents, contract paperwork and procurement adverts.
• Work with stakeholders to produce accurate specifications.
• Support tender evaluations, financial assessments and value-for-money analyses.
• Help identify savings opportunities and new contracting areas.
• Maintain procurement records, databases and work plans.
