Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Commercial Procurement Assistant to support procurement and commercial activities across complex energy & infrastructure programmes in the UK. You will work with Commercial Managers to develop strategies, prepare sourcing documents, and help manage supplier performance.

The role focuses on procurement processes, governance, and reporting, offering exposure to nuclear and wider energy sector projects within a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a related discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Procurement.
• Experience supporting procurement, commercial or contract management activities.
• Experience in major projects, infrastructure, energy, utilities or regulated environments.
• Understanding of procurement processes and contract administration principles.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and organisation to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of procurement and commercial strategies aligned to project objectives.
• Assist in creation of sourcing strategies, market engagement activities and tender documentation.
• Support procurement routes, lotting strategies and commercial models.
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
• Assist with supplier engagement and procurement events.
• Support tender processes including ITT prep, evaluation and contract award.
• Assist in contract administration and management, monitoring performance and compliance.
• Maintain procurement records and governance documentation.
• Assist with change management, commercial reporting and governance processes.
• Support cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting; develop performance dashboards.
