In National Procurement, our role is to facilitate business at the lowest possible cost. As a National Procurement Assistant, you’ll be fully responsible for managing tenders and delivering bottom line savings.

Working with our internal stakeholders, International Procurement department and external suppliers, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts and managing suppliers of goods and services not for resale.

Your New Role:

Support category analysis by using your ability and experience to identify and deliver cost savings, efficiencies, improvements and drive innovation in the supply base.

Deliver the end-to-end tender process with the National Procurement Manager, including:

  • Initial stakeholder engagement & baselining
  • Sourcing requirements definition
  • Supply Market Research & Engagement
  • Tender build, launch and process management
  • Post-tender evaluation
  • Supplier shortlisting
  • Commercial & contractual negotiations
  • Proactive interrogation of spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Negotiation of contractual terms and conditions
  • Implement Supplier Relationship & Contract Management practices with our strategic partners
  • Assist in development of category strategies with the National Procurement Manager
  • Liaise and co-ordinate effectively with our International Procurement colleagues in Vienna on pan-European procurement programmes
About you:
  • Procurement experience
  • Experience of supplier management/negotiation
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong mathematical ability
  • Strong inter-personal relationship building, stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Excellent written, analytical and presenting skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
Desirable:
  • Experience in a professional procurement function, either direct or indirect buying
  • Experience supporting the development, implementation and management of category strategies
  • Record of delivering saving from sourcing activity
  • Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations including drafting and negotiation of terms and conditions
  • Data analytics
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 day a week remote working
