A local government authority in Northallerton is seeking a Procurement and Contract Officer to manage procurement processes and provide contract management support. In this role, you will ensure effective supplier negotiations, adherence to regulatory frameworks, and timely procurement delivery. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to CIPS Level 4, strong communication skills, and experience in procurement, preferably in the public sector, offering a rewarding opportunity within a values-driven environment.
Salary: £38,220-£47,181 per annum
Grade: JK - L
Contract: Permanent, (secondment considered)
Hours: Full Time/Part Time considered
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
You will ensure that all procurement and contract management activities provide the very best value for money for the council. Providing professional advice, guidance and insight regarding markets, suppliers, and contractual options to help support service delivery and improvement.
Experience in procurement in the public sector is advantageous - but not essential.
