Job summary

A leading marine technology company is seeking a Procurement Administrator to assist in managing purchase orders, supplier relations, and inventory levels. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within production. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This position offers flexibility for full-time or part-time work based in Newport, Isle of Wight.

Responsibilities

  • Raise and process purchase orders effectively.
  • Maintain supplier records, pricing, and cost control.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and flag shortages.
  • Liaise with suppliers for quotes, deliveries, and lead times.
  • Schedule manufacturing processes with third-party contractors.
  • Support sourcing of electronic/mechanical components, raw materials, and manufacturing services.
  • Update internal teams (Production/Sales) on order progress, delays, or lead-time changes.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with general administration.

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll assist Production and Sales with lead times and stock supply, manage purchase ordering and supplier liaison, and provide day-to-day administrative support to keep procurement and production running smoothly.
