Job description
Role Purpose

As a Process Operative you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating our client's plant to manufacture high-quality products. You will be trained to operate various machinery while ensuring that quality standards are met. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team and develop your skills.

Duties
  • Safely operate presses, dryers, and drums.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Complete accurate batch manufacturing records.
  • Wash and decant slurries while handling chemicals safely.
  • Weigh out ingredients per formulation sheets for customer orders.
  • Operate blending and milling equipment for uniform mixing.
  • Efficiently manage packing stations to present finished products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the plant, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
What You Bring
  • Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness regarding health and safety.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A reasonable level of fitness for manual handling tasks.
  • Functional skills level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Experience in a relevant process industry (chemical, ceramics, food) is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Counterbalance FLT certificate is advantageous, but training can be provided.
  • Previous training in health and safety is a bonus.
Remuneration

Starting salary: £29,000 per annum (inclusive of shift pay)

Salary when fully trained: £33,500 per annum (inclusive of shift pay)

Company Pension: Yes, with employer contributions ranging from 4% to 8%
