About the Role

We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our team at Staines Raw Water PS. You do not need a background in the Water industry – we welcome applications from candidates outside the sector to bring fresh perspectives and ideas.

This role is an essential front‑line position that the business cannot operate without. You will work in all weather conditions, carrying out a range of tasks to ensure the essential functions of our water treatment works operate to maintain the supply to customers and protect the environment. You will perform routine maintenance of plant and equipment, support the operation of the plant, collate and report data, undertake health and safety checks, and use a field laptop to record faults and improve performance.

What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician
  • Operate plant and equipment used in the treatment of groundwater to ensure it meets strict drinking water standards, including cleaning, basic maintenance, routine checks and fault‑finding.
  • Monitor, collate and report data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
  • Undertake health and safety and security checks, highlight and report hazards, near misses and incidents, and make the area safe.
  • Accurately report faults and record work and asset information to improve business performance using a field laptop.
  • Receive chemical deliveries, ensuring the correct checks and paperwork are completed.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to new and existing colleagues.
  • Attend all team meetings, engage with safety briefings and company communications, and raise constructive feedback with the management team.
Base Location

Staines (PS) – TW18 4HA

Working Pattern

38 Hours Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities can increase your earning potential after completion of essential company training.

Driver’s Licence

Due to the nature of this role you must hold a full UK driver’s licence.
