Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Process Technician for a 6-month contract in Fareham. The role involves reworking and modifying components to IPC standards and requires strong communication skills and production experience. Competitive rate of £22/hour PAYE offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years in a similar production role is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Compile Test reports and complete relevant documentation.
  • Conduct rework activities in accordance with IPC standards.
  • Update and maintain business information systems as needed.
  • Conduct basic test routines at sub-assembly and GA levels.
  • Build assemblies following appropriate procedures.

Our client operates a major avionics site in Fareham, specialising in the design and manufacture of flight-deck instruments, data acquisition systems, and life-support equipment. They are part of a global aerospace and defence engineering group that provides high-performance sensing and control technologies. Their Fareham facility plays a key role in innovation for critical cockpit and air-data systems.

Role Summary

The Process Technician will be responsible for the rework and modifications to various components and in accordance to IPC standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Compile Test reports and complete relevant documentation as and when required
  • Conduct various rework activities and modifications in accordance with IPC standards
  • Update and maintain business information systems as appropriate
  • Conduct basic test routines at sub-assembly and GA levels
  • Build assemblies in accordance with the appropriate procedures

  • Knowledge and experienced gained from a minimum of two years in a similar production role
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
