Opportunity to join our client working remotely with site visits. The client is responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining bulk fuel storage terminals in the UK and overseas. This is a 2‑Year FTC. Salary: £50‑60 000 DOE. Home based with UK travel. Excellent benefits.

Role Highlights
  • Improve DSEAR compliance throughout the organisation and lead DSEAR risk assessments.
  • Build strong relationships with maintenance, engineering teams and third‑party partners.
  • Provide regular reports on progress and performance against the plan to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in identification and management of risk factors and apply ALARP for COMAH/MACR sites, facilitating assessments such as HAZOPs, Design Reviews, HAZIDs, HRA assessments, Hazard & Effect Registers, Bowties, OBRAs, credible fire scenario assessments, SIL and LOPA.
  • Promote delivery of key health, safety, environment and quality targets and success factors for core business functions.
Experience Required
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience around hazardous areas, with a strong record of completing hazardous area classifications and associated documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of DSEAR documentation, risk assessments, zone drawings, hazardous area classification, and design documentation in accordance with EN 61508, EN 61511, IEC and UK standards.
  • Deep understanding of DSEAR legislation, ATEX directives, IEC standards, and British standards.
  • Experience in process safety and working in high‑hazard environments.
