A leading global chemicals company in Grimsby is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to manage major accident hazards and ensure compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and experience in a COMAH environment. Responsibilities include leading safety policy development and technical support. This role offers the opportunity to influence process safety management within the organization.
Allen & York are delighted to be working with a global chemicals company who are one of the world's leading manufacturers of their product, which is used in a variety of different applications in both the commercial and domestic markets.
They are now looking to recruit a Process Safety Engineer to work as part of a small team and will be responsible for the management and control of major accident hazards and risk to the site, compliance with company standards and legislative requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Process Safety this role as Process Safety Engineer will focus on Engineering change management processes, HAZOP, SIL and ATEX requirements. A key aspect of this role will be to provide support and promote Process Safety Management internally in line with legal requirements and internal engineering standards.
Candidates should have experience in a COMAH environment and safety case development or maintenance in a high hazard industry, ideally chemical sector as well as experience in Hazard Analysis.
Candidates should be degree qualified in Chemical Engineering with a desire to work towards Chartered if not so already.
