This is a key opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the safety and sustainability of our operations while working collaboratively with operational managers and HSSE teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support hazard identification studies (e.g. HAZOP, SWIFT, PHR), promoting learning and continuous improvement in process safety performance.
  • Provide clear advice, coaching, and training to operational teams to ensure best practice and full understanding of process safety procedures.
  • Work with site managers to identify safety gaps and implement practical solutions aligned with Calor's standards.
  • Review and monitor Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs) to ensure ongoing awareness and improvement.
  • Investigate process-related incidents and near-misses, producing reports with root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions.
  • Engage with external regulators and authorities (e.g. HSE) as required.
  • Attend site HSSE Committee meetings and collaborate closely with both operational and engineering colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and review of safety systems, policies, and quality processes to ensure alignment with Calor’s Process Safety Policy.

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management.
  • Practical knowledge of COMAH and hazard identification techniques (e.g. HAZOP, SWIFT, PHR).
