Job summary

Baxter Thetford is hiring a Process Operator for Line 7 on the automated line. The role involves rotating shifts, 42 hours per week, with a training salary of £27,758.64 and a weekly shift allowance of £109.86. Benefits include 25 days leave, pension, health cover, and progression opportunities.

You will maintain line performance, perform cleaning, support improvements, and ensure GMP/EHS compliance. English fluency and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP environments (pharma/food/FMCG).
• Detail-oriented with ability to handle repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain line performance by adjusting machinery within validated parameters.
• Conduct daily/weekly cleaning of equipment and area.
• Support improvement programs and adopt new ways of working.
• Identify quality defects, reject faulty items and escalate issues.
• Assist in rectifying issues as they arise.
• Follow EHS/GMP/GDP policies and external regulations.
• Operate per Baxter documentation (BaxU) and ensure timely batch paperwork.

Baxter Thetford are looking for Process Operator within our Line 7, Automated Line to join our fast-paced teams. This role is rotating shifts, Monday-Sunday between 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00 which is 42 hours per week. This could look like 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 nights on, 3 nights off etc.

We offer a competitive training salary of £27,758.64 which will increase once fully trained AND a weekly shift allowance of £109.86.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains the optimum line performance throughout the shift by adjusting the machine within validated parameters
• Performs daily and weekly cleaning of the equipment and the area
• Be actively involved in improvement programs, demonstrating a willingness to embrace new ways of working
• Identifying quality defects and reject them as well as escalating issues to the team leader
• Supporting with rectifying issues when they arise
• Follow EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Operate within the Baxter documentation procedures (BaxU) and requirements meeting all safety quality and performance guidelines, ensuring batch paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Experience Required

• Experience of working in a GMP environment (pharma, food, FMCG)
• Quality focused - able to deal with routine, repetitive tasks whilst maintaining good attention to detail
• Team Working - working as part of a team & sharing workload fairly with a willingness to work co-operatively and supportively in order to solve problems and achieve team targets
• Maintains high standards of behaviour whilst managing workload
• Process Orientated - must follow set standards and ways of working
• Flexible - able to carry out varied tasks often at short notice, adjust break timings around the production, work additional hours and adjust working hours as required by the business
• Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment
• Punctuality is key as well as strong attendance
• Good standard of English comprehension - Able to understand written and verbal communication and speak, read, and write in English
• Well organised and task driven
• Experience using fork trucks would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience setting up and changing over machines would be advantageous but not essential
