Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd. at Blagdon is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive process improvements across the site.

You will coach and mentor engineers, oversee process, automation and controls activities, and guide capital projects with a focus on sustainable manufacturing practices. The role emphasizes developing talent, improving equipment performance, and delivering best-in-class manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications

• Higher learning qualification in Engineering (HND or equivalent degree).
• Understanding of OEE and its impact on engineering.
• Demonstrable capability in the application of advanced fault finding tools & techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage process engineering and improvement activities at the Blagdon site, coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Lead the Process, Automation and Controls team to support capability improvement initiatives.
• Direct work streams to develop best technologies and practices for major capital projects.
• Mentor apprentices and support development of young talent in modern manufacturing Tech.

So, what will I be doing?

Manage process engineering and improvement activities at the Blagdon manufacturing site coaching and mentoring engineers in process engineering.

Manage Process, Automation and Controls team supporting strategic manufacturing capability improvement through Subject Matter Expertise and insight into available technologies and applications.

Leading work streams to develop best technologies and practices, supporting the specification, evaluation, and execution of major capital projects

Working with apprentices mentoring and supporting development of young talent in modern manufacturing technology.

• Advocate and influence the commitment to people and food safety through the development and enforcement of working practices in line with legislative, company and working procedures.

• Coach others to effectively develop skills and knowledge of new processes and technologies to support sustainable asset performance.

• Develop diagnostic processes and data integrity to aide and facilitate problem solving in complex processes and systems. Provide subject matter expertise or technical knowledge to identify, resolve and prevent faults and failures.

• Higher learning qualification in Engineering discipline (HND or equivalent degree)

• Understanding of OEE of the impact of engineering

• Demonstrable capability in the application of advanced fault finding tools & techniques

• Project management experience

• Leadership experience
