Job description

So, what will I be doing?

Manage process engineering and improvement activities at the Blagdon manufacturing site coaching and mentoring engineers in process engineering.

Manage process maintenance team supporting strategic manufacturing capability improvement through Subject Matter Expertise and insight into available technologies and applications.

Leading work streams to develop best technologies and practices, supporting the specification, evaluation, and execution of major capital projects.

Working with apprentices mentoring and supporting development of young talent in modern manufacturing technology.

Your responsibilities:
  • Advocate and influence the commitment to people and food safety through the development and enforcement of working practices in line with legislative, company and working procedures.
  • Manage the development and implementation of tools, techniques and technologies employed to deliver reliability focused asset care for out kit and equipment.
  • Coach and mentor others and be proactive in the delivery of the highest standard of asset care through the application of best practice, developed knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Coach others to effectively develop skills and knowledge of new processes and technologies to support sustainable asset performance.
  • Develop diagnostic processes and data integrity to aide and facilitate problem solving in complex processes and systems. Provide subject matter expertise or technical knowledge to identify, resolve and prevent faults and failures.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

Essential:
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent level of training in multiple engineering disciplines (Advanced Automation & Control).
  • Higher learning qualification in Engineering discipline (HND or equivalent degree)
  • Demonstrable application of leadership principles and experience in managing small teams.
  • Previous experience of working with automated equipment in FMCG
  • Developed knowledge and understanding of enhanced asset care
  • Demonstrable capability in the application of advanced fault finding tools & techniques
  • Previous experience of working with steam boilers and systems
  • Understanding of OEE of the impact of engineering
  • Ability to develop knowledge in self and others.
Desirable:
  • Project management experience
  • Developed knowledge and application of RCM
  • BOAS trained
  • Leadership qualifications - ILM Level 3 or equivalent
