Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to provide leadership across complex engineering programmes from concept through to delivery and commissioning. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and mentoring engineers while driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will support projects at Cavendish Nuclear's Warrington and Preston sites, with a strong focus on governance, risk management, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in Process Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex process-led projects on time and within budget.

Job description

As a Process Engineering Manager, you'll provide leadership across complex engineering programmes, guiding projects from concept and design through to delivery and commissioning. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Managing engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction and delivery.
• Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and project teams to resolve complex technical and delivery challenges.
• Ensuring engineering outputs comply with quality, safety, regulatory, and technical assurance requirements.
• Developing engineering capability through mentoring, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex process-led projects.
• Strong background within chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, or similarly regulated industries.
• Experience managing engineering projects through the full lifecycle from concept and design to commissioning and delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple disciplines.
• Experience applying engineering governance, safety, quality, and technical assurance standards within complex environments.

Qualifications for the Process Engineering Manager
