Almac Group in Craigavon is offering a 12-month Process Engineer placement for students in engineering or chemical engineering requiring a placement in 2027/2028. The role supports the Engineering team on expansion projects, validation, commissioning and operation of plant to cGMP standards.

Working hours are 37.5 per week. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and be currently studying an Engineering degree or masters that requires a placement in 2027/2028; desirable: studying Chemical

Open To: Students Currently studying an Engineering/chemical engineering based degree or masters that require a 12 month placement as part of their course.

Contract: This placement will run for 12 months, over the 2027/28 academic year

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team in assisting the Process Engineering Team Leader and Process Engineers with Sciences engineering expansion projects, validation completion and documentation, commissioning and operation of plant and associated systems to the highest industrial and pharmaceutical standards (cGMP).

Key Requirements / What we are looking for / About you

Essential Criteria

• Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, employment in the UK
• Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent)
• Currently studying an Engineering based Degree or Masters requiring a placement in 2027/2028 as part of their course.

Desirable Criteria

• Currently studying for degree in Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience within an engineering function
