Job description

Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Process Engineer to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

What will you be doing as our new Process Engineer?

As our new Process Engineer in our Water Non-Infrastructure team, you’ll work in collaboration with the project design team to arrive at appropriate process solutions adopting the principles of optimised plant performance, use of standard designs and following @one engineering design standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake process design of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and/or sewerage/water systems that achieve the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment, and efficiency.
  • Produce technical deliverables, including technical schedules, data sheets, engineering calculations (hydraulic calculations, pump calculations, mass balance calculation, RICS calculations, etc.), specific specifications for engineering subcontracts and technical bid analysis of supply chain designs.
  • Oversee key outputs including process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, data sheets and technical bid analysis of 3rd party process equipment.
  • Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure that the need to deliver technical excellence is understood and implemented.
  • Escalate issues that may impact on time/cost/quality before they become problems or exceed agreed timescales.
  • Support the drive towards excellence in H&S, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs to discharge your obligation according to CDM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice.
  • Maintain close links with other Engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines; manage gaps/overlaps & share best practice.

This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald. This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
