Job description

Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Process Engineer in Glascoed, on a full-time basis (can compress into 4 days).

Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for Process Engineers to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glascoed (full-time onsite) on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity, you can ensure no two days will be the same.

The Role

Develop new manufacturing processes, in line with Engineering Plans and Budgets. Technical solutions and processes must be robust, timely, cost-effective, and meet Customer expectations.

Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with industry standard controls that ensure long-term process stability, including: Lean Principles, Process Control Plans, PFMEAs; plus awareness of Programmable Logic Controls and Visual Management Systems on automated process lines.

Specify and qualify new equipment, often working with suppliers to meet tight deadlines. Ensure all process equipment meets regulatory and safety standards.

Skills

To succeed within this role, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

  • Minimum HNC / HND Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or equivalent.
  • Have a good technical and manufacturing base, show initiative, and be able to work under pressure.
  • Prioritising a constantly varying workload, in parallel with maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of materials processing.
  • IOSH Managing Safety / NEBOSH Certificate.
