Catalyx is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team and work on our customer site in Waterford.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inspection, assembly, labelling, and packaging of syringe and vial-based products. These platforms range from manual operations to high-speed, fully automated production lines.

Responsibilities:

• Provide process engineering support across the Product Supply area.
  Deliver and support continuous improvement initiatives for existing manufacturing equipment and processes.
  Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as MSAT, Technical Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain.
• Lead and coordinate technical activities within automation and inspection projects, contributing to the development of both new and existing manufacturing capacity.
• Apply knowledge from existing manufacturing technologies to aid in the design and implementation of new, higher-yield, and more efficient systems.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are upheld at all times.
• Provide technical and engineering support in response to process and equipment failures, driving process improvements, and supporting the qualification of new equipment or products.
• Analyse performance data and manage improvement projects focused on efficiency, yield, and automated visual inspection systems.
• Support new product introductions, capacity expansions, and vendor qualification processes.
• Lead structured root cause analyses and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Promote and support all site safety, quality, and continuous improvement programmes.

Requirements:

• Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience working within a highly regulated GMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills, including protocol preparation and execution.
• Experience or exposure to automation systems and vision inspection technologies is an advantage.
