Overview

Process Engineer

Alexander Steele is working exclusively with a global food manufacturing business to recruit a Process Engineer for their site in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team, this is a multifaceted role encompasses R&D, engineering, technical, and production support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts to enhance process and product quality through continuous improvement.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies for continuous improvement.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans in collaboration with the maintenance department and production team leaders.
  • Contribute to major Capex projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Background Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Degree in Food Science/Food Processing or Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma manufacturing certification
  • Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail
