Job summary

A leading engineering company in Glasgow is seeking a Process Engineer to create process flow diagrams and support project activities. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical & Process Engineering and be a professional member of IChemE. Experience in engineering design and procurement is essential. The role offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Process Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in south Glasgow and will require 3 days a week in the office (2 days WFH) each week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and heat and material balances using industry software.
  • Perform calculations to size process equipment, including proprietary technologies, for seawater treatment and offshore injection equipment.
  • Support tendering and project activities, including responding to client clarifications and resolving technical comments.
  • Maintain awareness of tender and project schedules, deadlines, and client requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Provide both local and remote technical support to operating plants during commissioning and first operation phase through to performance test completion and handover.
  • Work towards professional accreditation and build a substantial evidence portfolio.
  • Participate in Health & Safety meetings and implement H&S guidance in all deliverables.
  • Apply ISO9001-2015 standards and risk management principles to daily work.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Chemical & Process Engineering (a masters degree may be preferred for senior roles).
  • Professional member of IChemE.
