Job description

Carbon60 is seeking a talented Process Engineer to join their client based in Broughton. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in translating design intent into technical instructions and manufacturing data for aircraft production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and control technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft detail manufacture, assembly, test, and certification.
  • Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Deliver detailed work preparation definition, including routings, BOMs, SOIs, and STV calculations.
  • Ensure all work and documentation meet departmental procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Project manage detail manufacture, assembly, test, and certification methods, tools, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate manufacturing process capacity and recommend design changes as needed.
  • Provide electrical/mechanical shopfloor support to operations, supply chain, and Final Assembly Lines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in using current business management tools, ideally SAP.
  • Ability to work from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and make informed business decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems.
