A leading manufacturing engineering team is seeking a Process Engineer to support modifications for aircraft production at their Broughton site. The ideal candidate will have a process-driven background, experience in large manufacturing settings, and knowledge of lean principles. Process Engineer - Manufacturing

Location: Broughton (full time onsite requirement)
Contract Duration: Until 10 November 2026, with potential for extension
Pay Rate: Up to £37.02 per hour (Umbrella) / Up to £27.68 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 35 hours per week
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Interview Process: One stage interview

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing engineering team supporting a major aircraft programme. The successful candidate will focus on work preparation to industrialise modifications for aircraft, supporting both mechanical and electrical systems. You'll work as part of a multifunctional team to ensure seamless industrialisation into production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate design intent into technical instructions and manufacturing engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, test, and certification
  • Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business requirements
  • Deliver detailed work preparation definition (routings, BOMs, SOIs, STV calculations) for aircraft production
  • Ensure all work and documentation meets procedural and regulatory requirements
  • Project manage manufacturing process improvements, including implementation strategies
  • Evaluate and enhance manufacturing process capacity, recommending changes to product design as needed
  • Provide shopfloor support to operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong process-driven background; experience in large manufacturing settings
  • Knowledge of lean principles and business management tools (ideally SAP)
  • Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems
  • Experience in aircraft production and engineering methods
  • Effective communication and leadership skills; self-motivated
