The role involves compiling technical instructions, implementing best practices, and project managing manufacturing processes. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Process Engineering role within aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Ability to translate design intent into technical manufacturing data.
  • Knowledge of aircraft production processes.

  • Compile technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data.

  • Deliver detailed work preparation definitions.

Carbon60 is seeking a talented Process Engineer to join their client based in Broughton. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in translating design intent into technical instructions and manufacturing data for aircraft production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and control technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft detail manufacture, assembly, test, and certification
  • Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business requirements
  • Deliver detailed work preparation definition, including routings, BOMs, SOIs, and STV calculations
  • Ensure all work and documentation meet departmental procedural and regulatory requirements
  • Project manage detail manufacture, assembly, test, and certification methods, tools, and process improvements
  • Evaluate manufacturing process capacity and recommend design changes as needed
  • Provide electrical/mechanical shopfloor support to operations, supply chain, and Final Assembly Lines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proficiency in using current business management tools, ideally SAP
  • Ability to work from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and make informed business decisions
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems
  • Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures
  • Understanding of cross‑functional relationships and interactions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills and self‑motivation
