Job summary

Our client is an oil and gas Operator seeking an experienced process engineer for a 6-month PAYE contract based in Aberdeen with hybrid working and occasional offshore visits. The role focuses on readiness for First Gas, ensuring process systems, operational barriers, procedures, personnel and plant configurations are prepared for hydrocarbon introduction, commissioning and early operations.

Onshore with offshore trips, reporting to onshore Production Superintendent; responsibilities include

Responsibilities

• Operational readiness and start-up assurance with focus on key process engineering/ process safety deliverables.
• Hydrocarbon introduction readiness verification
• Commissioning and start-up engineering support
• Leak testing and mechanical integrity assurance
• Operational readiness reviews including PSSR participation
• Start-up procedure updates, risk assessments and roll outs.
• safety critical documentation as-built status
• Interface and support to offshore operations teams
• Verify implementation of project MOCs and HAZOP/LOPA actions
• Support SIMOPS and risk reviews. Including procedural HAZOPs for first start-up procedures.
• Support and facilitate readiness and start-up workshops

Support the safe and efficient delivery of the Readiness for First Gas programme through independent engineering assurance.

The role focuses on confirming that process systems, operational barriers, procedures, personnel and plant configurations are fully prepared for hydrocarbon introduction, commissioning and early operations.

Onshore based with offshore trips as required. Reporting to onshore Production Superintendent.
