Job summary

BBF Limited in Hull invites an experienced professional to lead concept work from testing bakery to full scale factory scale up for development projects. You will source all new raw materials, create recipes, and organise factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites.

The role requires hands-on bakery experience and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Food-related qualification preferred but not required.
• 1 year working in food manufacture.
• Recent, previous experience working in Bakery.

Responsibilities

• NPD tasks from concept to launch.
• Manage a project from start to finish without prompts.
• Plan tasks to meet critical path timings.
• Develop for a specific customer area (Innovation, Morrisons, Asda).
• Deliver projects with cross-functional teams on time.
• Conduct regular store visits and benchmark competitors’ products.
• Identify gaps, innovation and quality improvements for the account.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the correct sourcing of all new raw materials and create recipes then organise and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites.

Key Accountabilities

NPD Process Capability

• Proven ability to complete all NPD tasks from concept to launch
• Independently to the desired standard.
• Drawing on their experience of the NPD process the individual will be able manage a project from start to finish without relying on prompts from others
• Organise themselves to predict tasks and plan working within the critical path timings

Account Responsibilities

• Developing for a specific customer area e.g. Innovation, Morrisons, Asda
• Recognising and understanding the required brand standards for the account
• Working alongside the cross functional teams to deliver the projects in full and on time.
• Attending customers submission when required
• Understand the current range.
• Conduct regular store visits Benchmark competitors’ products if required.
• Proactively look for gaps, innovation, quality improvements for the account

Experience & Qualifications
