Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering company in Wolverhampton is seeking a competent Process Development Engineer to enhance operator process development. You will be involved in writing work instructions and planning methods, as well as utilizing Solumina. Candidates should have Mechanical/Precision Engineering qualifications and experience in a machining environment. This position offers a negotiable remuneration based on experience, with a contract or fixed term of 18-24 months.

Qualifications

Overview

Process Development Engineer - Machining — Wolverhampton — Contract or Fixed Term (18-24 months) — Aerospace/Precision Engineering — Remuneration negotiable.

The Role

We have a unique opportunity for a competent CNC Process Development Engineer to join a busy aerospace engineering company. This role focuses on operator process development including methods planning and work instruction creation. Experience with Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System) is required.

Responsibilities

• Help write and manage work instructions that the shop floor machinists use.
• Methods planning and work instruction creation.
• Input instructions into Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System).
• Support wider Manufacturing Support team where necessary.
• Data extrapolation and complex process breakdown.

Background / Qualifications

• Mechanical/Precision Engineering qualifications
• Competent in the use of Solumina (Manufacturing Execution System)
• Exposure and use of SAP (ERP System)
• Understanding of machine shop fundamentals including CNC
